THE DILEMMA

A challenge many ambitious, sensitive men know well

Most men who have both ambition and a high sensitivity to other people, their needs and their emotions, find themselves trapped in a dilemma.

Either they stay open, emotionally and energetically, to other people and the world around them. But then they risk losing their own center, becoming unclear about their own needs, their own direction. They feel more wobbly.

Or they armor up, to protect themselves and stay more in their own mental clarity and self-connection. But then they lose the richness of life. They lose connection with others, and their own deeper self-connection. They feel more isolated and lonely, even when surrounded by people.

Many ambitious, sensitive men oscillate between these two states, never really feeling fully at home in either one.

THE GROUND

Finding the internal and stable ground

The way through is not choosing between staying open and armoring up. It's finding the ground that holds both.

A strong spine means living from our own embodied center. Knowing what we want and need. Holding clear boundaries. Having real clarity.

An open heart means staying connected to our own heart, our own love, and connected to ourselves and to others at the same time, and feeling safe living that way.

This isn't about finding the right balance or percentage between the two. It's growing toward fully embodying both, understanding that they're equally supportive of each other.

A truly open heart needs a strong spine to feel safe enough to stay open. A strong spine needs an open heart, or it becomes rigid and disconnected. They are two sides of the same coin of being a whole and integrated man.

THE JOURNEY

In this workshop

This is a two-hour, experiential workshop with guided practices, group discussion, self-reflection and the possibility for individual support. Small group format.

We will go on a shared journey of finding that internal ground of a strong spine and an open heart. Exploring and learning how to stay deeply connected to ourselves, our own heart, and clear about our needs and boundaries, while also staying deeply connected to others.

Sebastian carries within him a presence that is calm, clear, and patient in a way that is invaluably graceful. Having engaged in various modalities before — this is the real deal."
